GDP is a static rebuild, not a live database. Python reads World Bank and DGBAS JSON files, calculates summaries and writes HTML, chart data and a sitemap. An HTML-only rebuild can use the committed observations without refreshing source data.

We do not alter source observations, interpolate missing years or splice histories from different sources. Current and future calendar years are excluded. Earlier published observations may include producer estimates and revisions; a rebuild can change a past value when its source changes.
Taiwan uses DGBAS dataset 44218 for 1980–2025: GDP in current US dollars, GDP per person in current US dollars, and annual real GDP growth in percent. These are the source's published annual values. The dollar series use market-exchange-rate values; they are not purchasing-power-parity measures. Taiwan and Liechtenstein are unavailable in the PPP GDP and PPP-per-capita series until a suitable source with verified commercial-reuse permission is available. Missing observations are not zero. DGBAS dataset 44218 does not supply a PPP replacement. Taiwan's population, GNI, GDP deflator, current account and exports are unavailable on this site. A missing series means this publication has no usable observation from an approved source; it does not mean that no official statistics exist.
World Bank regional aggregates are excluded except the euro area, EMU, retained for the euro-area desk. It is the producer's aggregate, not a sum calculated from the countries shown here.
Displayed observations use each economy's latest available year; these years need not match. Changes compare published observations. For level series the summary shows latest and previous values; rate summaries use the sample mean and median. Minimum and maximum include their years. Country desks use the same observations without recalculation.
Economies are listed alphabetically, with the selected desk first where applicable. Use the list or chart legend to select economies. The chart shows published annual observations. Range controls change the years shown; the list and legend change the selected economies. Each economy uses its latest available observation, so years may differ. Source revisions can change past values.
Pages load Google AdSense with publisher identifier ca-pub-6557770900386479, listed in ads.txt. There are no reserved advertising boxes in the layout, but the network script may still display ads. Advertising is independent of data selection and interpretation.
